INCULCATING CONFIDENCE

If there is one thing that we have all wished for at one time or another,it is confidence. So why is it in short supply? Part of the answer lies in the way in which we are brought up. There are two things that shape us as individuals- hereditary and environment. At SMD, we implement strategies to bolster the later. At a young age, children are immersed into thrilling adventures, so that with every rush of adrenaline, their confidence grows. This starts with a daily assembly roster where every student has to speak in the assembly –a poem, a story, a prayer or anything relevant to the occasion. According to research, the most common fear in the world is Public Speaking. At SMD Little Champ Smart School, we create situations where the students are encouraged to speak in front of an audience. Children need role models and who better than their teachers. “We are proud to say that our teachers are part of the confidence-building programme. Children and their teachers-overcome their fears, and come out stronger, and more confident.
